US Threat and Saudi Statement After 'Fly Dubai' Incident
About two days after a Fly Dubai plane diverted during its flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv and made an emergency landing at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Interior Ministry said preliminary investigations indicate the co-pilot assaulted the captain. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu linked the incident to a suicide attempt to bring down the plane, while US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a severe strike if its involvement is proven. Fly Dubai announced the suspension of its flights to and from Israel, and Iran's Fars news agency said Israel is trying to implicate Iran in the incident.
