Video: Municipal police officer assaults journalists

A number of journalists, including MTV's correspondent in the south, were assaulted and threatened by a municipal police officer affiliated with the Froun municipality while covering a tour by Social Affairs Minister Hanin al-Sayyed in the town. The municipal officer blocked the journalists' path and drew his weapon at them before security forces intervened and stopped him. He then followed them into the celebration venue and attempted to assault them again. After the celebration ended, he closed the road in front of them and threatened them with a weapon before a local resident helped them leave the area.
