Warning of escalatory steps, protest movements and strikes in Lebanon

In a front-page item carried by tayyar.org, Al-Joumhouria newspaper warned that the deterioration of Lebanon's economic and livelihood files has pushed demands-driven sectors to threaten escalatory steps, protest movements and strikes in certain public administration sectors, urging state authorities to take remedial measures before tensions rise further. It noted mounting complaints from citizens across all regions about thefts, snatching, robbery, provocations, forgery and the circulation of counterfeit currency, calling on the security services to act firmly against perpetrators.
