Washington Expels Lebanese Consul in Michigan over Old Posts
The US State Department informed the Lebanese Embassy in Washington of its decision to expel Lebanon’s consul in Michigan, Ibrahim Sharara, declare him persona non grata and give him 48 hours to leave with his family, over old posts attributed to him praising the 1983 bombing of the US Marine barracks in Beirut.
