EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas warned of a severe shortage of warships in the EU's Aspides mission in the Red Sea, stressing that the current force does not reach the minimum of 10 vessels deemed necessary when the mission was launched in 2024, amid increasing requests to escort commercial ships through the Strait and growing Houthi threats to global navigation.
