With ululations and doves... How Qlaiaa welcomed the papal ambassador

Papal Ambassador Bishop Paolo Borgia arrived in the town of Qlaiaa on his second stop after Deir Mimas, where he was welcomed by a large popular crowd in front of Saint George Church. He was crowned with a laurel wreath and doves were released, while parish children offered him olive oil and bread in a symbolic gesture reflecting the town's identity.

استقبل حشد شعبي السفير أمام كنيسة مار جرجس بحضور كاهن الرعية ورئيس البلدية وأعضاء من المجلس البلدي.
أُلبس السفير إكليلًا من ورق الغار وأُطلق الحمام وسط الزغاريد تعبيرًا عن التوق إلى السلام.
قدّم أطفال الرعية للسفير زيت الزيتون والخبز في لفتة رمزية ترتبط بهوية القليعة وإنتاج الزيتون.
