The region is witnessing a military escalation between Iran and the United States, accompanied by a state of alert in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. In this context, Al-Quds newspaper reported that Iran threatened the United States with a painful response and simultaneously revealed a plan to resume war, while Iran stated that Washington is preparing to resume its military operations with support from countries in the region, according to a CNN Arabic report. CNN Arabic also conveyed a new Iranian warning to the United States and countries in the region stating: "Do not expect restraint."
On the political track, US President Donald Trump revealed three options regarding Iran: erasing it, letting it "rot" economically, or reaching a deal, and expressed readiness to meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, without details of these options or the potential meeting date becoming clear. In turn, Iran set seven conditions for negotiations with Washington and a roadmap for the talks, while warning that it could change its nuclear doctrine if its demands are not met.
Al-Binaa newspaper carried a multi-axis regional file highlighting Iran's threat of devastating strikes amid the current escalation, alongside messages conveyed by Razaei to Trump and the Gulf states regarding a memorandum of understanding and Salalah being less costly than a meeting in Germany. It also noted that Riyadh's missile illustrates the cost of escalation, the pressure exerted on New York by the refinery and diesel crisis, and "Israel's" infiltration into the Yemen war.
In other developments, Asharq Al-Awsat reported that the killing of an agent identified by the letter "M" revealed an intelligence role in Israel's two wars against Iran, while Israeli intelligence estimates, according to what Arabi21 published, indicated an expected imminent coup in Iran.
