As for some of the people who are hanged in Iran on charges of being Mossad agents, I ask: Who are these people? And the answer comes: Listen, we ourselves do not know.

You have to imagine that when you arrest 21,000 people, even if you catch one or two agents, you will ultimately have to release them all; because everyone's account will be the same: I was walking in the street, or I was driving my car, and they arrested me. In the end, they released everyone.

One of the reasons that drove us to release an official video — bearing the Mossad logo — on the morning of (Operation Rising Lion) was to protect the agents who were there. We wanted to ensure that a very large number of people were arrested in Iran, so that they would be unable to distinguish between the genuine and the fake, which would ultimately force them to release everyone. And that is exactly what happened.
