The continuation of this ambiguity undermines the prestige of the state and the credibility of its decisions. Government decisions must not turn into ink on paper, and the security decision must not be left hostage to understandings outside state institutions. There is no duality in decision, no exceptions for anyone, and no one is above the law.
How does the government allow arrangements of this kind, if true, when it had previously taken a decision on March 2 considering Hezbollah's military actions outside the law? Are the government's decisions binding on everyone, or is there someone who has the privilege of bypassing them?
What was stated in Hezbollah's statement regarding the existence of prior security arrangements with the security agencies places the government before a serious test of its credibility, and requires an immediate clarification from the ministers of interior and defense to reveal the truth of these arrangements and the parties that authorized them, and if proven, subject them to accountability and reckoning.
On the day we reach the conviction that this government, at the level of political decision, will not implement the decisions it has taken, we will not hesitate to leave it.
We raise our voice from within the government because we do not want to achieve what Hezbollah wants by going into the unknown.
