The file of Lebanese University professors' tenure will be decided soon.
Responsible governance
But let us disagree for the sake of the students, not at the expense of the students. And let us place the public school outside political, electoral and regional calculations.
The project of consolidating schools and secondary schools is not a project to close schools. It is a project to freeze work in some schools and a project of sharing available buildings, and it is part of reorganizing the school map so that state resources serve students' learning, rather than being distributed and scattered in a way that sometimes prevents us from securing the most basic elements of good education.
I speak to you today about the file of consolidating schools and secondary schools, neither from the position of defending a decision taken by the Ministry of Education, nor from the position of engaging in a dispute with any party, but from a position of transparency and responsibility.
Reviewing a decision based on data is not a retreat; it is part of responsible governance
