Operation Inherent Resolve is the official name of the U.S.-led military operation against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. It was launched in 2014 after the group's expansion, with dozens of countries participating through airstrikes, logistical support, and training. Alongside local forces, it helped retake large areas from the group. The completion of the U.S. troop withdrawal and the end of the operation were later announced, with Washington affirming continued advisory and training support.
