Axis of Resistance
An informal Iran-led alliance that includes Hezbollah and other regional factions. The term describes military and political coordination among these groups.
"Axis of Resistance" is a label for a network of armed groups and governments allied with Iran in the region, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinian factions and the Houthis in Yemen. Coordination among these actors developed gradually from the 1980s and deepened after the 2006 war. The term describes military and political coordination and is contested: supporters see a resistance front, while other states view it as a network threatening regional stability.
