The basic problem is known: Lebanon does not have sufficient production capacity, and existing plants currently provide only about a third of the country's energy needs. This reality is not the result of recent months, but the result of long years of accumulated failure to carry out required investments in production, while billions of dollars were spent on purchasing fuel oil instead of building a sector capable of providing electricity sustainably.
The electricity crisis can no longer tolerate the philosophy of time management, because every day the required decisions are delayed means fewer hours of state electricity, and thus an additional step toward total darkness, a larger bill for generators, and an additional cost on families, institutions and the Lebanese economy.
The crisis in the electricity sector today cannot be reduced to a decrease in supply hours, and it must not be treated as a passing technical problem that can be postponed from one cabinet session to another.
On 7/10, while implementing exceptional measures to monitor and control the Lebanese-Syrian border, an armed clash occurred in the outskirts of the town of Arsal between elements of an army unit and smugglers, with no injuries. The unit thwarted the smuggling operation and seized 5 pickup vehicles that were heading to Lebanese territory, loaded with about 5 tons of copper and tin, in addition to a large quantity of tobacco.

Iran will not possess a nuclear weapon!
We will not attack Iran at any time before the midterm elections scheduled to be held in the United States on November 3
This is nothing less than aiding and abetting a wanted war criminal's evasion of justice. Syrians deserve justice, and this person must be returned to face trial.
If the information you are reporting is correct, the fact that taxpayer money is being used to provide a comfortable life for someone linked to the use of chemical weapons against Syrian civilians, and who is alleged to have caused Austin Tice's execution, is disgraceful.
We will ensure that people are able to watch the event, and that it is public.
Israel pushed us into waging war in Iran
They are not expatriates from their homeland as long as they maintain their connection to it through work and giving.
This opportunity may not recur if the state, with its presidents and officials, does not handle it with firmness and wisdom.
Lebanon has a real opportunity to exit the cycle of war and ongoing hostility.
Your game is over.. and your slogans have fallen.. and Lebanon will not remain hostage to your adventures
What you are doing is not resistance and has never been resistance, but a contract at the expense of Lebanon
You do not want Lebanon's neutrality.. and you fight peace.. and you cling to your loyalty to Iran.. and you carry arms against the Lebanese.. then you try to cover all that with a deceptive slogan called 'resistance'
fruitful discussions
If Minister Joe Saddi's step is not met with positivity, then every incident has its own discussion.
We strongly condemn the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia
hypothetical and ridiculous
I do not want taxpayers' money to be spent on buying weapons for other countries
And what is the evidence for that? US Central Command (CENTCOM) refuses to allow a senator to inspect bases it claims are intact... you can fool all the people some of the time.
In May, the Congressional Research Service acknowledged that the Iranian armed forces destroyed 42 American military aircraft. Now the number has reached 81... and the real toll is much higher.
If anyone wants to help my campaign stop a man who cannot condemn terrorism in our country because he is close to people who support the Muslim Brotherhood, then I will accept that.
I strongly support its right to exist. The Jewish state's right to exist and its right to defend itself in a very difficult environment around it.
I want to spend taxpayer money here on schools, on health care, and on taking care of citizens. Israel pushed it to go to war on Iran, and my opponent always wants wars.
There is no hope for Lebanon except in two cases: the collapse of the Wilayat al-Faqih regime in Iran and the end of Hafez al-Assad's tools in Lebanon.
Israel learned the lesson of the failed negotiations that took place in 1982 with Lebanon, which produced the Tripartite Agreement, and it remembers how Syria, with the help of its agents in Lebanon, thwarted it.
Lebanon will not be able to return to its normal state unless the facts that produced Hezbollah on its soil are changed.
