The continuation of Israeli attacks and the occupation of southern villages and towns makes the presence of UNIFIL extremely important, and its withdrawal would create a security vacuum and deprive the region of international oversight of what is happening there.

Which is better? That the state of war remains and the Israeli continues to move freely, or that we do something through which we can avoid catastrophes for the country?

We made the decision to save what is left of Lebanon. The agreement we reached is not an ideal agreement, but it limited the expansion of Israeli aggressions. Strikes are still ongoing in the south, and we are trying as much as possible to reduce them and reach the final and ultimate goal I announced, and I still say it and will continue to say it: ending the state of hostility with Israel.

We went to the option of negotiations because war will not lead us to a result.
