Aoun: No disagreement over the goals of negotiations with Israel, only over the method

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said wars only end through negotiation and dialogue, and defined Lebanon's negotiating goals as Israeli withdrawal, the release of prisoners, the return of the displaced, reconstruction and the deployment of the army across all Lebanese territory. He stressed that these goals are a point of Lebanese consensus and that disagreement is limited to the method of achieving them, as technical military meetings between Lebanon and Israel continue at the US Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
