The Lebanese Army Command announced that army units carried out security measures in Tripoli, Halba, al-Bira and al-Arida in Akkar; Khaldeh and Choueifat in Aley; and al-Naameh, Rmeileh, al-Saadiyat and Damour in Chouf. The measures included armored and foot patrols and the setting up of temporary checkpoints to pursue wanted persons and security violators. Earlier media reports spoke of a field deployment and security measures in a series of Lebanese regions before the Army Command issued a statement with the details.
LBCI and "lebanon debate" limited themselves to noting that security measures took place in unnamed areas, while MTV relied on the Army Command's statement, publishing the names of the areas and the nature of the measures along with photos. The difference therefore lay in the level of detail and the source of the information, not in its substance.
