Since 13 October 2026, southern Lebanon has seen a series of continuous Israeli attacks comprising airstrikes, artillery shelling and machine-gun sweeping, targeting towns in the western and central sectors, the Bint Jbeil district and the Marjayoun plain. The attacks were accompanied by low-altitude flights and movements of Israeli military vehicles, amid talk of a breach of the ceasefire agreement.
Coverage varied between detailed field reports naming the towns and sites hit and describing military movements, mostly citing the National News Agency and field correspondents, and a brief general report that specified neither locations nor figures. The main difference is that Anadolu was the only source to give cumulative casualty figures and refer to the US-sponsored framework agreement, while Yemen News focused on describing the shelling as a breach of the ceasefire agreement.
