A protest movement was carried out by residents in the town of Houch Harimeh in the Western Bekaa in rejection of the Ministry of Education's decisions to transfer the town's secondary school to the town of Marj and to refer its principal to the Central Inspection. The protesters cut the Marj–Jib Jannin public road with burning tires, demanding the appointment of a new principal and keeping the school year at the town's secondary school. The road was reopened about half an hour later.
