Israel's UN ambassador provokes the Iranian delegation with a Starlink device

The story covers a video showing Israel's ambassador to the UN, Dani Danon, provoking members of the Iranian delegation and offering them a Starlink device, the same device Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had displayed in his General Assembly speech. The incident was followed by the ambassador again sharing a photo of an Iranian diplomat and appealing to Elon Musk, and by a CNN Arabic fact-check of an old video mistakenly linked to the incident.

📍 Where things stand: The incident is still circulating in the media after a CNN Arabic fact-check showed that the viral video about the Israeli delegate's expulsion is old, dating to September 2023, and unrelated to the Dani Danon incident.
