The necessary warnings will be issued if atmospheric data show a possibility that Lebanon will be exposed to a similar situation.

This possibility remains during the autumn season, as sea water is still warm, which increases evaporation rates. Therefore, any suitable atmospheric low pressure could lead to the transfer of large amounts of water vapour to the upper layers of the atmosphere, and then to heavy rainfall over a short period, possibly accompanied by hail. However, this risk decreases as autumn progresses and December begins, as sea water temperatures are expected to gradually decrease to about 23 degrees Celsius.

What we are currently witnessing in Lebanon is considered normal weather at this time of year, especially between October and November, as this period usually sees weather fluctuations. However, what is exceptional this year is that the weather has become colder than usual, while rainfall amounts have exceeded the levels recorded at this time.
